Fireside Chimney Supply 8" Stainless Vacu-Stack

This is awesome! Every single year I dredded putting a fire in without my husband home because the smoke would always back billow into the house! After a hail storm destroyed our old chimney cap we needed to replace it. I did some research and found this baby. We finally put a fire in this past weekend, and it worked perfectly! Every single bit of smoke went up the chimney the way its supposed to. Soo very happy with this purchase! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is because the cage to keep critters out is sold seperately, and I can't find where to buy it. Otherwise, it does what it claims.

The product came just as described and fast shipping. I went with the size of my outside diameter and fit my new cap over my 8” double lined pipe. It fit like a glove and used 2 hose clamps to secure it. Now I have easy removal for cleaning , no need to caulk the seam to make a water tight seal, and no screw holes for the elements to get in. This cap has worked great so far with 20-30 mph winds with no back or down drafts. This cap was not cheap but worth the investment in my case.

Awesome cap, solved all my draft problems

On initial test with an incense stick it appears to work well. Will know fully once we can light up the wood stove in the next month but am expecting success.
