Do yourself a favor and put a coat of water seal on this before assembly. It is made with untreated pine with just a thin coat of paint. The pine makes it super light, but it will not last if put outside untreated. Other than that, this is a lovely product and I know my dogs and I will have a lot of fun with it.

This is a very good teeter for the price. It is sturdy enough for my 60lb husky yet light enough for me to move it around in the yard. It is meant for back yard fun and not competition, but a great training aid, none the less. The only concern I had is that it does slip if you have it on a bare (concrete) floor and your dog jumps sideways off of it. This could scare your dog and make them afraid of the teeter. We fixed that by putting a sand bag on the bottom support. Also It is not meant to be left out in all types of weather, so I put mine in storage when not in use. I am very happy with it!

This teeter totter looks as pictured and is fairly easy to assemble. Quality control was not evident, however, because some areas of the wooden pieces split; no holes were drilled on four of the wooden bracing blocks; and the bare wood would be less splintery if it had been protected with some type of wood coating (e.g. shellac, poly, etc.). Also, the rubber coating on the boards consists of tiny "beads", some of which fall off when the teeter totter is moved. Maybe should have been sprayed with some kind of fixative.

Not easy to assemble needed a drill which I purchased. The covering grit is falling off all over my patioI have not finished putting together as I am using different supports to hold the board on to make it teeter.On thé plus side my dog learned very quickly how to use it and with a gentle teeter he is good with it. Will make it higher and see how he does. I may use pvc piping to build it up and then can creat different amounts of angle. I would not recommend this. For what it cost and the time involved putting it together as well as needing a drill(which was NOT mentioned anywhere in the description. All it said was some assembly required) to me some assembly requires does not require drills! This probably could be made at home with help from your favorite hardware store.Will update with photos as I juryrig this terrible piece of agility equipment. Amazon should stop working with this company as I read many negative reports.I will shellac the wood so it does not rot as it looks very porous and cheapWhy does the grit fall off. Product not sturdy. No brackets holding it together just single screws. I wish to return item but was informed will cost $227 which is more than I paid for the item.
