Johari West shirts are made from 100% high grade Indonesian cotton and have top stitch detail on the collar, shoulders, and sleeves with monogramed Johari West buttons. The Johari West Hawaiian or tropical style designs are produced using stamps that are approximately 8 to 10 inches’ square that are applied by hand in a repeating pattern. To obtain the specific color, each shirt goes through several hand dying and open air drying techniques that are centuries old and have been passed down through the generations on the islands of Indonesia. Due to the high level of individual hand craftsmanship involved in producing the shirt, the color and print may vary from the main picture. We believe that one of the true advantages of wearing a Johari West shirt is knowing that all shirts are individual with no two shirts being exactly the same.

Comfortable, easy to wash (cold) and colors do not run. It dries quick, no need for a drier.Most importantly it looks great.

Value for Money!
Love these shirts for my husband and he loves them too! I think I've bought almost every colour and design in this brand because they are true to size, wash and wear very well and he is comfortable in them, so much so that he hardly wears many of his other shirts. Will continue to buy this brand!

They are hands down my favorite summer shirts
I began by buying just one but have now purchased four Johari West batik shirts. They are hands down my favorite summer shirts: a light but tightly woven cotton, with excellent stitching, quality buttons and button holes, and beautiful Indonesian batik motifs. Although some reviewers have mentioned having problems with fit, all four shirts fit me perfectly. I'm 5'10," weigh 170 pounds, and jog (so not much of a gut): and for me the "M" is couldn't be better. The cut is a regular not slim fit -- but for a summer shirt I find a little give good. Buyers used to buying super-loose Hawaiian shirts will find the cut here is significantly slimmer. The batik is of course hand printed and colors are beautiful -- but you do want to take care to wash these shirts in luke warm or cold water. Ironing is optional if you pull the shirt out and let it hang dry. Doing that, the colors in my shirts remain vibrant and there is no shrinkage whatsoever in size. In short -- these are my favorite summer shirts -- reasonably priced, simply cut but well made, and with beautiful motifs.

What I was looking for!
I really like the design and color combination! I weigh 160 lbs and I am 5'7''. A medium fit perfectly after washing/drying (it was a little big before). Fabric is a little stiff, but I always wear an undershirt so it's not a problem. I think it might be a little scratchy against bare skin. All in all, a very nice shirt!
