I bought this blanket for my 8 year old granddaughter who sometimes has problems sleeping. The weight and the size seemed just right. But after only two days of use, I found "sand" or sand like stuff everywhere on the bed. I really like the idea of weighted blanket and am really disappointed this did not work.I wonder if I should purchase a different one, a more expensive one but I am afraid the same thing might happen. Do not want to go through the trouble of returning item again. I am really surprised that other buyers of this particular brand did not have the same issue.

I have been in touch with CoolDown, the manufacturer. They are very conscientious about standing my their product. It is well made but Texas is very hot in the long summer. It will be 100 or more every day this week. Our AC bills are higher than our heating bills. I will try the CoolDown blanket in the winter when l'd like more warmth.I read 100's of reviews before l purchased this blanket & it was consistently the highest rated.Too Hot for me to sleep with. Might be ok in winter ...with the heat off.In all fairness it is well made & no odor.Tried turning on the ceiling fan & made AC cooler - did not help. Pulled it off in the night. Turned it to poly side then tried cotton side. I do not see a solution since it is the weight that makes it hot. Feels great at first then natural body heat makes it uncomfortable. Yes, tried moving a foot outside the blanket. Have no opinion about the benefits since it is too hot to allow sleep.

This weighted blanket is one of my favorites. It has one side soft and one side a very heavy duty material. This is probably the most durable one I've reviewed so far. I am honestly impressed with it. It seems like an original product and not a common white label, as I have researched and not found another product like it at all. It feels like a very sturdy product. It is warm. It's not cool, but most of these aren't cool. I think they made one side soft and another material on the back which I assume is supposed to help with heat. It probably can. It feels about normal to me to be honest. If you are looking for something that can use a duvet cover, however, you should pass on this as it will not allow a cover for it. There are no ties. I do like it though. I've found you can gentle wash this product without any issue. It's a good product. I would buy this one again for sure

This blanket had been fabulous for me. I have had anxiety my whole life and as ten would pile about 10 blankets on top me. I wish I had this blanket back then. Its super soft and comfortable. It is well made and should last for years to come. Highly recommend for others with anxiety.

I ordered the queen size 20lb blanket in dark grey.I received my package two days after I ordered it. I went to get it and realized how heavy it was..... the box stayed on the pouch until my husband got home. LolOnce I had it un boxed and on the bed it was very manageable and was easy to move around. Under first inspection I was impressed by the quality of the blanket. The fabric and stitching was very strong. The plush side was very soft and cozy and the polyester inside was actually cool feeling to the touch. Also there was no smell whatsoever which can sometimes be a Issue with textiles from over seas.I live in Florida it is 90 degrees outside right now and I slept perfectly fine with this blanket it is not too hot.Now to go over how it feels. I love the weight of the blanket it makes me feel cozy. I have anxiety and fibromyalgia and the 20lb blanket actually helped me sleep through the night with out waking up a dozen times. I would definitely recommend this blanket. I feel the weighted blanket has helped me as such so far. I have slept with the blanket 3 nights now. I will update this review in a month.Review update: the blanket is really great quality. I have used at least 4 times a week over the last few months and love it.

I used to get great products from Amazon, but lately, not so good - including this one. Spent over $50 for something that started leaking little beads the first night I used it. At first I thought it was 'crumbs' in my bed...swept the sheets off, and then...more little beads. Some of pockets have beads clumping together ... and some don't so I don't know what to think. Except, maybe I need to stop buying on Amazon. Note: this isn't the first recent product failure.

I have suffered from anxiety, depression and panic attacks stemming from a very traumatic experience my sister recommended a weighted blanket. Medications dont help me much so I truly had me real hope this would work but I thought for the price why not try. I'm not exaggerating when i say its made a huge difference I use to throw heavy king pillows on my legs for the weight and comfort, but they always fell off that's not necessary now these blankets stay and I dont wake or toss and turn. I no longer depend on sleep aids and anxiety meds. I'm loving this experience. Now if they can just offer it in other colors than grey. I would love a variety. The price I paid is an outstanding value.

Surprisingly comfortable and warm. I bought this due to my aspergers condition and that I get anxiety. This weighed blanket somehow made me feel a bit physically secure. The material is soft and thick. This is great for cold weather and a rainy day.
