Yeah was concerned about that too but as a band instruments tech I know metals well and this is a brass die cast metal,so no bad address. It's not heavy metallic metals.u should be fine. I've had mine a yr

Q: What is the "tip opening" in metric system....? compare to a otto link mp....??? careful with ebay mp....tip opening is not shown on purpose....!

.07" or 1.78mm as I compare it to my other 7's. I actually find it to be a very good MP. But, admittedly I love the Selmer S80, Claude Delangel #6, Theo Wanne Durga 3 #6, Jody Jazz DV NY #5, Yanagisawa #7 and a Yamaha Custom 7. So I play nice in the 5, 6 and 7 range so I would call This Patiti in that range. Hope this helps as I don't have a micrometer handy.
