Its good for hot food or soup

I purchased this 27 oz. wide mouth thermos in the stainless finish not to use as a traditional thermos but to keep it filled with warm to room temp water to use as needed. In the 11 days I've owned it no other liquid has touched this thermos besides water. I have not washed it with any soap products or used any kind of wipes on it or in it. I haven't even so much as used a sponge to clean it. I've just rinsed it with hot water and refilled it on a daily basis. For my purpose I have not even used the outside lid only the interior lid that does not even touch the rim where the peeling is ocurring.The finish is supposed to be stainless but there seems to be some darker finish that has been added on top of the stainless and that is where the peeling is. On the actual thermos you can see that the screw top on the thermos itself is straight stainless without the darker coating. Why they add the darker coating to the body of thermos I have no idea. The maufacturer should leave well enough alone and leave the color coatings off.I will be returning this thermos.

I work in day and feel lazy to wake up early morning so sometimes I used this to carry soups that I make in night, surprised to eat the soup without putting it in microwave. They really hold the heat for 15 hours. They are not as hot as cooked period for they are more than 115F.Thanks
