I thought these valves were the simple turn to open. They can actually unscrew all the way out. It take about 2 full turns from close to get completely open.The GREAT thing about it is that I can use them to to decrease the flow since they screw down. I find that valuable, just not for what I am doing as these will be exclusive for air flow. However, I can see a scenario where that might come in handy. I am certain that will be handy for irrigation.As long as they open and close, albeit with 2 turns instead of a quarter-turn, that's perfectly fine with me.

I previously wrote a review of this product giving it a bad rating and saying it didn't work at all. I thought when the valve was in line with the supply line it was on and when it was perpendicular to the supply line it was off, that's the way all my other valves have worked. In reading other reviews and Q&A I realized you just have to keep spinning it to the right to shut it off and spin it to the left to open it, like a jar lid. Now that I know that I must say these do work fairly well. It would have been nice if that had been in the description as that's not the way most of the irrigation valves are but now I know.

These valves are easy to use and handy, and I like that they clearly indicate the open and shut positions. But they do not shot off completely. I installed more than 10 recently, and they all leak.

It doesn't work. The turn-off does not shut off.

This product works well and was the final element that has allowed me to fine tune my drip system. After matching drip emitter volume to the needs of the plant - small 1/2 gph for small pots and up to 2 gph for large pots - I still needed some additional adjustments to avoid over/under watering my plants.What I've wound up doing is to place the valve and the emitter close to each other in the pot. Some of these valves will weep/leak just a little bit, so by placing the valve in the pot I can avoid wasting any water or making a mess. I like the detentes that lock in the adjustment and keep the valve in the desired setting and avoid inadvertent movement.Also, these valves operate like a hose bib, not a ball valve. This wasn't apparent to me at first so note that turning fully clockwise will shut off water, and counterclockwise for more water.

I can control the flow easier than the other style (quarter turn) stop valve.

Worked perfectly for adjusting water flow in my drip irrigation system. Better than the shut off valves that come with my drip irrigation system.
