The Goldilocks of Cofee and tea
You will never drink coffee or tea the same way again after trying an ember mug or tumbler. It gets the temperature just right for you, not too hot and not too cold. It has been a game changer. I use this everyday as a replacement for my old ember mug which eventually wore out. The best part is I can now travel with it. Both the mug and tumbler are great and I have even gotten multiple other family members using them everyday too.

Will become a favorite
I generally don't like my tea or coffee to be cold, unless it's meant to be that way. So I usually drink my hot tea or coffee quickly to avoid that tepid nonsense. The Ember Mug/Tumbler is a complete game changer. I can now drink slowly because my tea/coffee will still be hot hours later. What I like best:1. I can choose the temp I prefer, all the way up to 145°F and it will maintain this for 1 1/2 hrs for the mug and 3 hrs for the tumbler (full charge).2. It comes with the charger so I can keep it on the base and it will keep it on and warm for longer than the above. Have one at work and this is soo nice on the busy days when time goes fast and attention is on anything but drinking...grab your cup and your tea/coffee is still warm. Or you have to go to a meeting and your cup is fully charged and ready for that mostly useless, overlong meeting.3. The heater turns on when the beverage is poured in and off when it senses nothing in the cup.4. There is a phone app for settings, choose your favorite temps for different beverages. But an app isn't required, will automatically be 145°F (I think?)What I don't like:1. The mug has only 90min for keeping your drink warm. The tumbler is twice as long.2. The company says the app isn't needed, but occasionally the tumbler doesn't sense the drink and won't turn the heater on so I have to use the app even after pressing the button. This happens with the tumbler most often versus the mug.3. Be careful the cup doesn't get turned on if you're transporting it in a bag or something. Like the button on the bottom got pushed or something? But it also senses movement to turn on and maybe shake my work too much? I take my office one home to wash well on the weekends and there's been several times the heater was on when I took it from my bag.Overall: Love it...just honestly love it. I work in a cold building and having a warm drink any time without having to use additional items is amazing. After using this for 6months, when using my regular coffee cups, I think, "uggghh, I don't wannnaaa!"Buy this. If you like warm/hot drinks regularly, buy this. It really is worth it.

Lid Leaks, loses heat quickly when charge runs out
I have 3 major complaints that lead me to believe this product is just gimmicky and not ready to be released on the market in its current formMy first and biggest complaint: The lidsThe cup comes with 2 lids, one that has a handle and one that slides open for when you want to drink. The one that has a handle has threads for you to screw and unscrew, but the one for drinking does not, it's just suction. The suction doesn't prevent liquid from coming out of the cup if tilted over, and if you try to pick the cup up by this lid, it will come open. There should be threads on both lids, and they should both be spillproof, but they're not.My second design complaint is that the charger is not waterproof. Why would you design a charger meant to charge a product that holds liquids that will break if any liquid gets on it? This sounds like a way to get people to spend extra money if a drop of coffee or tea slides down the cup and hits the contacts. They sell car charger versions, and that would be even riskier seeing as the lid isn't spillproof as I mentioned aboveThird and final complaint is that the cup doesn't hold heat as well as other normal insulated cups once the charge runs out. If you're looking to buy this intending to take this cup to work assuming that once the 3 hour charge runs out, you'll still have decently hot coffee? This is not the product for youOther than the bad points, it does have some good points. The 3 hour charge that was advertised is true, even at max temp, from what I have seen. The packaging is very nice, so it would make a nice gift if not for the above points. The app and instructions are easy to use, setup, and understand. If they would sell this product with actual leak proof lids, a waterproof charger, and insulate the cup as well as other insulated cups, it would be a great product. I look forward to seeing how this technology continues to develop in the future, but for now - this ain't it
