There is no glass on frames (just some very cheap plastic). It does the job, but as other reviews said it is really tricky to do, as there is not enough clay.

Disappointed with my purchase, the wooden frame and plastic (usually glass) protector are of very poor quality, plastic is scratched and cut out unevenly. And who ever translated the instructions into English needs some lessons on spelling and grammar! If buying again I'd go to mothercare where my previous frames come from. Clay is good but doesn't come with rolling pin.
