Van HeusenMen's Dress Shirt Slim Fit Flex Collar Stretch Solid

Start Me Up
I am short and skinny. If Mick Jagger and Dr. Ruth ever had a kid together, I'd be it. I like my dress shirts to be slim fit and form fitting so that when I strut, I feel good about myself (sure I look like a dork, but I feel awesome). That said, a sad consequence of my desire for a "toight like a tiger" fit has always been the risk of popping a button while tying my tie- this shirt eliminates that risk.Furthermore, the price is comparable with other slim fit shirts of the same quality. For the last 5 or 6 years, I have only worn (black/white) slim fit dress shirts by J Ferrar (sold by JCP- two for $40). However, when their prices went up to what these Van Heusen shirts are selling for on Amazon, I decided to give these a shot. At first glance, quality and fit seem to be the same. I was worried that these might not fit as well, but they fit just as nice, even before washing/drying. Also, I do not foresee shirt length to be a problem. As far as thinness goes, I have never worn a white dress shirt that did not require a white t-shirt underneath. No one's here for a light show; wear a t-shirt. Again, these aren't any more/less see through than my white J Ferrar shirts. If anything changes, I will update my review. For now, I've got to go work on my sweet moves.UPDATE: after a few weeks of use, I've determined I like the J Ferrar shirts from JCP a little bit better than these. The main reason is that the J Ferrar shirts come out of the dryer wrinkle free while these come out of the dryer close to wrinkle free. Still a good shirt for me, though.Peace.

Don’t do it. ❌❌❌
A few things:1)The shirt has the thinnest material that I’ve ever seen. I could see freckles through it.2)The collar does not flex...at all...and the material has zero give. Which, sucks twice as bad because...3) The shirt is smaller than the size stated. In summary, it was missing the “r” to make it a “shirt”.

Will Return White Color
I got the white shirt, but I cannot speak to the other colors.Reasons why I'm returning:- You can see your nipples through the shirt. If you don't want to wear an undershirt it's not for you. Imagine a presentation with everybody thinking about your nipples. No thanks, I'll spend more money on something thicker.-Collar doesn't actually stretch. Seems almost like false advertisement. Honestly it was marketed in a way that doesn't match the actual product. Maybe the center button has a little more room, but that's not a stretch as more a wider notch.

NOT A FLEX COLLAR
NOT A FLEX COLLAR AS ADVERTISED! I received 3 yesterday and first thing I checked was the flex collar performance since that was why I bought them. There is no "flex" function whatsoever. The slit that the collar button goes through is a little wider so there is some room there but I do not understand how they can get a way with advertising these shirts as flexible.

Not slim fit
I am about 6’ 200lbs. I have an unusually large neck, so I bought the neck size to fit me. The rest of the shirt was absolutely huge. It is not at all a “slim fit”.Also, the shirt itself is paper thin. You can almost see straight through it.The stretch collar is a great feature. The only good thing about the shirt.

Three Stars
Very thin fabric, don’t really know about the fit they are going to be a gift for my son.

sucks twice as bad because
I was able to copy and paste the points below from another review because they are ALL 100% accurate. I am so sick of getting shirts that are transparent. You know what we need for all white shirts, a transparency scale, so that I can choose a shirt based on how transparent it is.A few things:1)The shirt has the thinnest material that I’ve ever seen. I could see freckles through it.2)The collar does not flex...at all...and the material has zero give. Which, sucks twice as bad because...3) The shirt is smaller than the size stated.

Not slim-fit or best quality
Bought for an occasion and did fit the bill, but not the quality I was expecting from this brand. Although the neck and sleeve sizing seemed to be accurate, this is not a “slim fit” shirt, primarily in the chest and waist area, as described. Too large in those areas in my opinion. Material is thin and was not very forgiving or stretchy as hoped either. I ordered the dark blue, but I can see how others found the lighter colors to be somewhat transparent. Not a terrible shirt, but if wanting a form-complimenting shirt in the slim-fit style, especially for those who may have a larger chest and slimmer waist than average, I’d look elsewhere.
