I've had a couple crumple when pounding into hard ground and they do naturally twist a little. But, overall really solid product and will have no issues with normal ground conditions.

I utilize a 4X4 post to hold a planter and my rain gage next to my patio. This was my second of this style with the first one rusting after about five years. I was able to take the old one out making easy installation of the replacement. Easy of installation depends on the soil it is being used in and method of driving it into the ground. Recommend the use of a section of a 4 X 4 or two 2 X 4 boards put together for driving, or a post hole digger to help. They will bend if not careful.

These post brackets are a great fast and easy way to put up a mailbox. Usually with this kind of chore ahead of me I would rather be in hell with a broken back, until I ran across these post brackets. Its worth its weight in gold. I had a shorter piece of 4x4 maybe 12'' long. laid across post bracket tapped it in ground with a shall sledge hammer. once it was securely in ground I placed the 4x4 in the bracket and with a few good whacks it was in the ground making sure it was straight as it went in. Once the base was all the way to ground level loosened the nut and bolt pull out the short 4x4 replaced it with the 42" post tightened bolt and attached mailbox all done in under 20 min. ( that included cutting the 4x4 ) No having to drag out a post hole digger mixing concrete and waiting for it to set. This is the 3rd time using these for different projects and once in the ground they are super solid and secure.

14 gauge steel is too thin. I got this in the ground, but the impact of repeated hammering to drive this into the ground caused the steel to bend which puts the post out of alignment. If I was using this for a fence, I would return it since I would not be able to attach fence boards in a straight line.Since I am using this for a mailbox, the angle is less important. I would guess it's off by about 30 degrees from being parallel to the road. The first 2 feet into the ground were fine, but it really started to warp in the last foot when I had to hammer much harder.If your soil is sandy maybe this would be better, but for my heavy clay, it didn't work as well as expected. it is still much quicker than digging a hole, but not a better end result as you have no means of adjusting or aligning it once you start driving it into the ground.

The shipping was on time and the product was exactly as described.The ground anchors worked just as expected.

Went into the ground with ease

Not great quality. Bought on here because my local stores were out, almost double the price on Amazon. Multiple of them came warped and cracked off when put into the (soft) ground.

I was hoping the length stated was the length of the part of the spike that goes into the ground 36", but it was not. It included the part that the 4x4 post fits into. Would be nice to see a 48" spike to add more stability. So far , my fence is standing OK and it was a lot easier putting into the ground than handling a post auger.

Thin, sub-par and cheaply made. Amazon, weed out these horrible sellers please, or you will lose big.
