However this model of glove simply does not have the necessary protective coating to achieve this. It is not fully heat resistant like an oven glove. So please be warned as you could injure yourself.If you need gardening or work gloves then these should be fine. Just don't use them for fires.The seller needs to update their listing to accurately show the correct uses for these gloves and to also highlight their limitations to avoid confusion. I believe they do sell more expensive versions that are fully heat resistant, so these steps might help people buy the correct type for their needs.

These gardening gloves are great. They are long so if you're picking up nettles you have that extra protection your arms. They are strong and when you get the gloves it comes with a cute note from the seller saying thank you for buying the gloves and if you want to change the size let them know. They fit my partner who has massive hands but they didn't fit me properly because i have small hands but the option is there if you want to change. I am not changing because my partner does mostly the garden anyway and it just sounds like hassle and there are far more important things going on in the world at the moment to be worrying about gardening gloves. Overall, great product and there is a option from the seller to get them resized and that's cute.

Very good looking glove and suitable for use in the garden or by the woodburning stove. They do not however, have heat resistant lining as would be required at the anvil or forge hence marking down.

The gloves are really soft and flexible leather - very comfortable. However, these are not thick like dedicated heat resistant gloves. But they are leather, they are flame proof, and they do provide some heat resistance. I use them for my wood burning stove, gardening, picking up broken glass, lifting breeze blocks, Etc.

Bought these for my friend who welds, used for cutting down trees and pruning thorn bushes, protects his wrists and lower arms. He says they are very good and he can do everything with them including getting hot pans from the oven
