I am new to appliqué and was doing alright with one of my embroidery needles to attach the pieces. When I started using these needles it made quite a difference. I was able to make much smaller stitches that were harder to see. I will say, I can’t imagine how they got the eye of the needle so small. “Come on, man!” That bugger is hard to thread, but a personal victory victory each time I do. And you better believe I am using the longest piece of thread I can get away with so I won’t have to thread that needle too soon. Don’t judge. Other than that, I like these needles a lot.

It was recommend for my hand appliqué project to purchase these particular needles. They are super sharp. But the eye of the needle is very tiny. Even difficult for a needle threader to get through it. 1 needle threader was too large. I cannot see well enough to thread 50 wt thread (no thicker than that would pass through the eye). I wish the eye was slightly bigger and the length was slightly shorter for the tiny piecing I am sewing. But otherwise great sturdy sharp needles.

I used these needles to hand-stitch my binding on my show quilt. They are long enough to grasp but very thin to get your stitches perfect. However, delivery time was long (more than a week) but worth the wait.

The ease in using these needles is unsurpassed. They make hand appliqué very easy to sew. They are a strong needle and one that glides easily through the fabric.
