Pretty good cage
I bought the large version of this cage for my Syrian hamster after watching a few reviews on YouTube. The cage is well made, looks very nice and quite sturdy. It's easy to put together and you get everything you need to assemble so the price is understandable but it is quite high. You do get quality for it though. There are 2 small cons for me though which is a personal thing. 1st I'm not a fan of the rubber band system with which the cage is held together even if they are firm in place.Secondly you get an acrylic plate for the bottom inside of the cage and he instructions tell you to use paper tape to seal the gaps to avoid urine seeping in to the small gaps. That too is something I would prefer they had made betterIf they could come up with something else for the paper tape situation that'd be goodI am giving five stars because despite those two small bits this is still a really good cage overall

Good
My hamster Oreo loves to burrow so this cage is amazing as it’s big enough to put lots of bedding for him to burrow in. There is plenty of space for all types of enrichment for your hamster as well!

Disappointed
After reading all the reviews I decided to spend the money which isn’t cheap as I presumed it would be good quality. However, the wood is quite flimsy especially the top part of the lift door. The screw tool that comes with it will round off all the screws, along with the hinges not being able to fully go into the wood leaving it even more flimsy.Wouldn’t recommend for the price it is

i never write reviews but i had to for this!
by far the best cage you can get for your hamster ( LARGE one) was easy to set up, great packaging. just make sure to add some silicone inside of cage for the edges for extra strength just because it’s like a pop in type of build. my hamster lived in a ikea detolf but honestly was just to narrow and it seemed like he wasn’t as happy with it, it just didn’t have the right amount of floor space. this niteangel bigger world (L) is one of the best and perfect cages your syrian hamster can have. i would definitely recommend this cage for any hamster owner you won’t regret you choice. & now ive got a happy hamster!

Give your hamster the home he deserves! Say no to crap plastic cages!
I love this cage as I have bought three of them. 2 Large and 1 Medium. They are all easy to build if you read the instructions and the labels on each piece. Back Board means it's the back of the cage. On the bottom board, you have two stickers, Back and Front to tell you which way it goes.Pros:1) The large is the biggest cage available in the US and it is huge! Medium would be better if you had a robo or a dwarf hamster but for your Syrians (esp the females) get the large. It's worth the extra space. It's SO DEEP, you can fill so much bedding in it. For you hammy to be it's happiest, you want to have 6 to 10 inches of bedding (they love more if you've got it!) and in this cage you can provide that easily.2) It's easy to build, I am not a good builder, honestly, a bookshelf is a challenge lol but it's like a puzzle just snaps together. The silicone bands are easy enough to snap it together, I am appreciative of anything that I don't need a tool for.3) I love how it's clear acrylic all the way around so you can see easily! I love seeing my little hammy dig his tunnels.4) It's sleek looking so it would be hard for your parents to complain about how it looks. I have mine in our living room.5) Nice big slits for air holes, I don't worry about closing the top of the cage at night.Cons:1) Build it where you want it, it's not easy to move when put together (you can however take it apart but you may need more rubber bands, easy to find, just look up silicone rings). You can move it a little bit but you could snap the rings.2) It's held together with silicone rings, which is both great because you need no tools and terrible because they can break (when you are putting them on and when you are moving them) Do yourself a favor, hook the band on the top and pull down, makes it easier. I bought an extra pack because I heard they could break while applying but I only broke a few while figuring it out and they give you way more than you need.3) It's chew resistant but not proof. If you have a gerbil or mouse this is not the cage for you, it's MDF board, one little chip and they would be able to get it (also because the little slits at the top would be easily escapable for a mouse or something smaller than a hamster. I haven't had any issues with my hamsters chewing out, I think it's because they like the cage and because I give them play time outside the cage at night so they are happy to come home to the Hamster Taj Mahal as my husband calls it.Honestly, this is the cage I love more than any. You can get a 65-100 gal aquarium probably on Craigslist or on sale for slightly cheaper but they are SO heavy. I have an adopted hamster that came with a 65 gal and I can't lift it by myself. I looked at many, many cages trying to find the perfect one, this isn't perfect but it's close. All the nite angel products I've tried have been good quality and my hammies love them, especially the wheels and this cage!! (In my pictures, I ran out of bedding so I will be adding more in the shallow end as soon as my next order comes in lol)

Niteangel is here to end the reign of tiny, cheap, plastic cages!
I have a Syrian male hamster living in this enclosure. I was debating between this and an Ikea Detolf, but this enclosure has more depth and width despite a little less floorspace. I also had around 50" along the wall I wanted to use, but not 6 feet for the Detolf. Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase, and I think my little Yam Ham loves it too!Pros:This is the largest enclosure available that exceeds the bare minimum of floor space specific for hamsters and mice within the US. It also meets the German care standards minimum if this is something you want to model your care after. I would recommend the largest enclosure for Syrian hamsters, but the medium size might be okay for a lazy or older Syrian male. If you want to go larger than this, you'll have to build something yourself. It's pretty spacious and does allow for interesting set-ups and lots of enrichment. You can easily fit 12"+in of bedding and still have room to add a wheel and other items! Niteangel carries a lot of high-quality items that you can match to your enclosure color and theme. The lack of bars means that you can easily watch your friend and their shenanigans as well as watch them burrow! Unlike a 75 gallon aquarium (equivalent in floorspace), you can pack this flat when moving or if you decide to not have hamsters for awhile.I hear a lot of people on hamster groups say they've heard this enclosure is hard to put together. I didn't feel it was at all. I've had more trouble with some Ikea furniture. It's pretty straight-forward and took about 30 minutes to assemble. I would recommend having a helper and to use the gloves they provide (they include two sizes, which is great for my tiny hands) unless you want to break your fingernails left and right when adding the bands.Cons:It is a little on the flimsy side, but this shouldn't be a problem for most people. I would err on the side of caution if you have kids or large dogs who like to run around and crash into things. For a clumsy adult, I haven't had any issues thus far. It is a little tricky to bend over and clean. Quarantine has me out of shape and my little dude prefers to burrow to the bottom and poop/pee in corners rather than use his chambered hides. So when it comes to cleaning, I have to get in there and try to clean, and it's a bit rough. I see that they have other models of this enclosure available in China, as well as an opening latch on the front window panel for this model. (Also, floor wheel attachments!) That would make cleaning, interacting and arranging much easier! My little guy has froze and gotten a bit startled since it's top-opening, so that may be something to be aware of too. Mine isn't skittish (ethically bred) but you might want to take care with how you reach in if you have a pet store / rescue hamster.Overall, if you want something spacious enough, but don't have the ability to DIY, not sure about using a Detolf, I would highly recommend this enclosure! While there are a lot of barred cages out there that meet/exceed the minimums, this particular enclosure is just a lot more pleasing to look at and offers flexibility in what you can do with it.

This is a fantastic cage, and one of the best in the market.
I'm more than pleased to see that ethical hamster cages have hit the market, and this has to be by far one of the biggest you can find. My hamster loves her cage, and I'm overall quite happy with this as a permanent habit. However, you should consider some pros and cons before buying it.Pros:It's huge. It exceeds the minimum requirement for a hamster cage, so you don't need to worry about not providing adequate space. It's very aesthetically pleasing, and the glass windows make checking in on your hamster easier. The cage is incredibly tall so it can fit plenty of bedding. It has fantastic ventilation and a lid that's easy to open and close.Cons:The cage takes up much space; if you're short on that, it wouldn't be the best pick. It's not sturdy and is held together by rubber bands. need to reinforce the sides to keep them stable. The assembly was a pain, and it took a while to figure out how to put it together.I was very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend this cage to anyone who owns or plans to own a hamster!

best hamster house out there
If you don't have the time and energy to build an IKEA detolf cage or one from scratch, I recommend this cage! It gives your hamster plenty of surface area and depth for burrowing, and it looks beautiful! It comes with all the tools (even a set of grip gloves) needed to assemble. Some things to consider though:--The cage is easy to put together, but I did run into minor trouble due to orientation stickers (like "top," "bottom," "front," "back") being placed on the panels in incorrect locations. But if you use common sense, the pieces fit together like legos.--The cage is really lightweight (considering its size) to the point that it seems semi-flimsy? There is also no hardware holding together the pieces; it's held together by the panels clicking together and rubber bands. I ended up using wood glue to reinforce the edges, and I would suggest this so long as you don't have plans to disassemble the cage later.--Use aquarium silicone sealant to seal the inside bottom seams; don't use the tape that comes with the cage. I think the tape will fall off, get dirty, absorb wastes, etc.
